This series of MgO-C bricks are made from fused and large crystallized MgO and graphite as main raw materials and phenolic resin as a binder. The bricks are pressed under high pressure and thermally treated at low temperatures. The products are mainly used in the slag zone of the ladle with better corrosion and erosion resistance and anti-spalling performance. MgO-C bricks are used in and appreciated with a good performance by more than ten steel mills including Baosteel (ladle of 300mt), Baotou Steel (ladle of 210mt), Anyang Steel (ladle of 150mt), and Benxi Steel (ladle of 180mt).
